Check your available space

Fixed-tilt stand: 552.64 × 420.25 × 178.81 mm, from Dell’s official outline drawing. Without stand: 552.64 × 331.61 × 49.69 mm. Cables and installation clearances require additional space.

Before you decide

This checks body dimensions only. Stand footprint variations, height-adjustable range, cables and plugs, ventilation, VESA mount hardware and cable-management clearance need separate checks in your model’s manual. A positive gap is not an installation recommendation.

Measurement notes for these models

Dell SE2422H

Fixed-tilt stand: 552.64 × 420.25 × 178.81 mm, from Dell’s official outline drawing. Without stand: 552.64 × 331.61 × 49.69 mm. Cables and installation clearances require additional space.

Dell S2721QS

Dell manual with-stand dimensions at the lowest position: 611.6 × 400.1 × 174.7 mm. Maximum assembled height: 510.1 mm. Without stand: 611.6 × 364.6 × 55.4 mm. Include cable and ventilation space separately.

ASUS ProArt PA279CV

Manufacturer's stated "Phys. Dimension (W x H x D)" with stand, converted from 61.40 × 52.35 × 22.78 cm. Without stand ASUS lists 61.40 × 36.99 × 5.99 cm. Excludes packaging, connected cables, and installation clearances.

BenQ PD2705U

Height-adjustable stand dimensions from the current product page, recorded at the maximum stand height (110 mm of travel; minimum height is 450.9 mm). Without base BenQ lists 365.7 × 614 × 86 mm. Excludes packaging, connected cables, and installation clearances.

Apple Studio Display (current, tilt stand)

Current Apple specification, checked October 6, 2026: tilt-adjustable stand, 623 × 478 × 168 mm. The separate height-adjustable stand is 479–583 mm high and 207 mm deep. VESA configuration: 623 × 362 × 31 mm. Earlier Studio Display revisions have different dimensions; match the exact revision and stand before buying.

LG 34WP65C-B

LG lists the stand at its highest position: 809 × 568.3 × 260 mm; lowest position: 809 × 458.3 × 260 mm. These are height positions, not tilt measurements. Without stand: 809 × 358.9 × 91.5 mm. Allow separate cable and ventilation space.

LG 49WQ95C-W

Curved super-ultrawide (32:9) stand dimensions from the manufacturer's regional product page. LG separately lists 1215.1 × 365.7 × 114.2 mm without stand. Excludes packaging, connected cables, and installation clearances.

Three dimensions.
Three different checks.

A monitor does not have one standard footprint for a particular screen diagonal. Its body width tells you how much desk it spans. Height, including the stand, affects the clearance to a shelf or wall cabinet above. Depth tells you how much of the desk it occupies front to back.

Many stands are height-adjustable or tilt-adjustable, which changes the overall height and sometimes the depth. The chart records one stated configuration per model; check your unit’s adjustment range before a tight fit.

Width: check the usable desk surface.

Measure the part of the desk that can actually support the monitor base or arm clamp. Keyboard trays, monitor arms and desk edges can reduce the available space. If you plan to use a monitor arm instead of the included stand, measure the clamp or grommet-mount depth separately.

Height: leave shelves and sightlines clear.

Measure vertically from the desk surface to the underside of any shelf, cabinet or monitor light bar mounted above. A height-adjustable stand changes this figure through its full range; use the tallest position for a worst-case check.

Depth: include what goes behind it.

Body depth does not include cable bends, a VESA mount arm’s full reach or a wall gap for ventilation. Record how far the usable surface extends before the wall or a shelf bracket gets in the way. If you plan to wall- or arm-mount the display, use the without-stand figure rather than the desktop footprint.

Physical fit is the first check.

The planner checks rectangular dimensions. Stand adjustment range, VESA compatibility, cable routing and port placement still depend on your model. Read its manual before choosing a monitor arm or a recessed desk position.

Before you choose a monitor

Does the listed height include the stand?

Where the manufacturer supplies a stand, yes — the chart uses the stated with-stand configuration, which is usually height-adjustable. Check the model’s notes for its adjustment range and the without-stand figure if you plan to use a monitor arm.

Does a positive result mean the installation is ready?

No. Positive spare width, depth and clearance only describe the values entered. The tool cannot see cable routing, port access, VESA arm reach or the manufacturer’s ventilation requirements. An exact dimensional match leaves no allowance.

What if I’m mounting on an arm instead of the stand?

Use the model’s without-stand dimensions, listed in its notes, along with your arm’s reach and clamp requirements. The desk fit planner above is built around the stand footprint, not an arm-mounted setup.

Why can two official measurements differ?

A page may use a rounded conversion, list a different stand position, or describe a panel-only figure without its base. Model revisions can also change what a spec sheet covers. We retain the source’s measurement context in the notes rather than treating every figure as the same kind of measurement.
