Check the space below the picture.
A soundbar can fit the width of a cabinet and still sit too high in front of the TV. Measure from the furniture surface to the bottom of the picture and check the position of the remote-control sensor. If the bar sits between the TV feet, use their inside spacing rather than the screen width.
Leave room beyond the body.
The top view shows the soundbar’s width and depth. It does not include plugged-in cables, wall brackets or the space needed for installation. Follow the manufacturer’s placement instructions, especially around upward-firing and side-firing speakers. Body size is not an acoustic clearance recommendation.
